Crispy Oven Fries

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-sized, high starch potatoes
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/4 cups flavorless oil
  • Kosher salt
  • fry seasoning of choice

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water over medium high heat
  2. Peel and cut potatoes into 1/2 in thick sticks
  3. Pre heat the oven to 450f
  4. Once the pot boils, add in the vinegar and 2 tbsp of salt. Stir until the salt dissolves, then add in the potatoes and boil for 8 minutes
  5. Dump out the potatoes in to a colander and let it sit for 5 minutes
  6. Lay out the potatoes on the baking sheet and drench them with the oil. Make sure every fry is well covered
  7. Evenly distribute fries on the baking sheet, make sure no fries are touching or laying on top of one another. Bake for 15 minutes
  8. pull the baking sheet and flip the fries with a spatula. If the fries look dry, drizzle more oil to coat. Bake for another 15–20 minutes or until desired crispiness
  9. Line a large bowl with paper towel and dump in the fries, then immediately toss with a pinch of salt and seasoning of your choice. Serve while hot
